Serving Edmonton and area since 2008
Hi, my name is Bethany and I am a Birth Doula serving Edmonton and area since 2008. I am also a Mom to 5 beautiful children. I have gained a lot of personal experience from my own 5 births and have attended close to 50 births in and out of the hospital with my clients.
I have Birth Doula experience at Sturgeon (St.Albert), Lois Hole (Edmonton central), Misericordia (Edmonton West end), Grey Nuns (Edmonton South side), Fort Saskatchewan, Wetaskiwin & Calgary hospitals, plus planned home births with a midwife. I am available for wherever you plan to give birth.
Pregnancy, birth & newborns have always been a passion of mine. I have an Early Childhood Development Diploma from Grant MacEwan College and completed my Birth Doula training in 2008 with DONA trainer Suzanne Moquin. I have also taken the DONA certification required childbirth prep and Breastfeeding courses. I have also taken Breast feeding training with Medela.
I am currently a member of DONA (Doulas of North America) & DAE (Doula association of Edmonton)
I have personally experienced a variety in my 5 births and know there are so many different ways a birth can go. Every birth is unique and different and I will work with you and your personal circumstances to help you create the best birth for you and your baby.
Thank-You for considering me to be a part of this most special time in your life. I am humbled and consider it a great honor to be invited to join a family in their memorable journey of welcoming new life. I look forward to speaking with you and getting to know you better.
I believe every woman has the strength and power within her to give birth to her baby. As a Birth Doula, it is my mission to empower you before & during your labour to use this internal strength.
I will use my knowledge and expertise of the birth process to give you the security you need, to go through one of the biggest life changing and empowering moments, as you birth your child.
As each birth is unique, I want you to be proud of yourself no matter what the outcome, and gain confidence as a mother and a woman, whether it is your 1st..2nd..3rd birth or more!
